About

When my fiancĂ© and I were researching venues for our March 2014 wedding in Buffalo, NY, we had a hard time find places that met our criteria: not super expensive, didn’t require you to use their caterer, and (ideally, although we were flexible on this one) would work for both the wedding and the reception.  Eventually we did find one that met all these criteria, and along the way we found several others we liked, even though they didn’t all meet all the criteria and wouldn’t all have worked for us.  However, none of these are the ones that come up first when you google “Buffalo wedding venues”; they were all buried under the opulent, expensive ones where dinner starts at $50 a head.  So I created this blog to pull them all together in one place to help anyone who finds themselves in the same situation we did.  Feel free to ask me any questions you have in the comments, and let me know if you have any of your own recommendations!

  2. Definitely! I got distracted and never got around to writing that post, but I would still like to. It was the Historic Lodge Event Center (www.lodgebanquets.com). If you have any questions about it, just let me know!

  3. Thank thank you so much for the reply. The pictures on the website looks great! How was your experience with the venue? Was it easy to contact them? Were they accommodating and allowed you to stock your own bar? How were the prices?

Sorry for all the questions. I tried to call the venue but no one picked up. If it's easier for you to email me, you can email me at kann3@yahoo.com. Thanks so much again.
